Key Personnel


Steve Revell (Director)

Trained initially as a transport manager and then as a cargo surveyor, Steve now
heads ICA and is in charge of both claims and scheme management.

Having over 18 years experience in handling freight liability, marine cargo, and
household removal claims, he is well placed to be able to provide advice on all
aspects of both carrier liability and policy coverage.

Steve is well versed in all major contract terms, including BIFA, CMR, RHA, FTA
and UKWA, and has been involved in a number of high profile legal cases.

He also has a large volume of experience in handling claims under the terms of both
the British Association of Removers, and the National Guild of Removers and is
fully conversant with the recent changes to the Removals Industry bought about as
a result of recent FSA Legislation, having been called upon to provide consultation
to a number of Insurance Companies, Brokers and Removers during this period.

Due to his technical expertise, Steve is often used by insurance companies to provide
independent advice on large losses.


Terry Gage

Terry has over 40 years experience in handling freight liability and marine cargo claims.

In that time, he has held a number of positions principally in the field of claims adjusting
and recoveries.

He also worked as a paralegal for over 10 years for a well known firm of Solicitors,
and is often able to undertake small claims litigation without the need for solicitors to
be appointed, at a fraction of the cost which would normally be incurred. During his
time as a paralegal, Terry was involved in a number of high-profile cases dealing
with carrier liability.

Terry’s principal area of expertise is in freight liability and airfreight claims, but he
also has a vast experience of handing other types of losses, such as household
removal, rail-freight and marine cargo.

Kay Nicholas


Having initially trained as a customer services manager at a large utilities company.

Since joining ICA, she has obtained considerable knowledge and experience in
handing both enhanced liability and marine cargo claims, and is now directing her
energies into dealing with household removal claims, both domestic and deep sea.

Kay also helps to oversee the general operation of our removal claims scheme.

Shelley Loveday

Coming from a customer services background, since joining the team in 2004
Shelley has become well versed in the handling of all types of household removal
claims, both domestic and marine.

Shelley primarily acts as an account manager, overseeing claims for many of our
larger removal clients.

Paul Dickerson

Paul initially trained as a commercial underwriter and is therefore able to bring a
unique perspective to policy issues and disputes.

Since joining ICA in 2006, Paul has become fully conversant with the principal
trading conditions utilised by the UK Removal Industry and is now an integral
part of our claims team, dealing with both domestic and marine claims.

Carol Brewer

Carol initially worked for ICA as part of our claims team between 1997 and 2002,
before moving on to pursue other interests and has recently returned on a part-time
basis.

Whilst Carol has a large amount of experience in handling removal claims under the
various conditions and policy wordings used by the UK Removal Industry, she now
works in a primarily supporting role in assisting the other claims handlers.
